Hysterical Chicken DIY kit - Unfinished, laser cut and ready for you to paint.
Our DIY kits are perfect for decorating or for paint parties. Designed as a sign, you can attach a simple command hook to the back for the hanging, or prop her up to add a touch of funny to your home, office, dining area, porch, entrance, etc.
You will receive all the wood pieces shown in the photos.
The chicken itself will be scored for easy placement of her 3d pieces. The eyes also come with two sets so you can add both for a real popping eye effect, or just add the top layer as I have done in my completed sample.
Don't worry, I won't torment you by sending them masked (a tape that some use when cutting their wood) as that can be a nightmare to remove most of the time, nor will you have to try to decipher which small pieces go with each larger piece as I will have everything separated for you and shipped in their own clear bags (see photo for example). Just open them up and begin painting!
Pieces are cut of 1/8" maple. Since these are laser cut items, and unfinished, you can expect the edges to be dark, along with some slight discoloration on the pieces. I've always kept the edges dark and painted the tops with 2 coats of acrylic paint. You do have the option of lightly sanding them. Please note that since they are laser cut there will be a burnt wood smell. This smell disappears after they are painted.

2. paint markers for fine detail (I use Arteza fine point - available on Amazon)
3. small paint brushes
4. sponges (these work easier than brushes many times
5. glue (I recommend Gorilla Super Glue - gel kind with the fine point tip, or wood glue)
